Patrick "Paddy" McIlroy
Paddy McIlroy was one of the founding members of the Belfast Celtic Society.
Paddy’s roots were set very firmly in the soil of West Belfast and the hallowed turf of Celtic Park.
Paddy lived and breathed The Grand Old Team and contributed greatly to the rejuvenation of interest in the team he loved so well.
On the formation of the Belfast Celtic Society in 2003, Paddy’s knowledge of the workings of charitable and voluntary organisations proved invaluable as he took on the role of the society’s Secretary and Treasurer. He died on September 3rd, 2011.The Belfast Celtic Society will forever value the benefit of his wisdom.
